Bears! Kindly avoid placing trash outside the back door, on the porch, or on the balconies. Do not leave any ice chests outside on the porch or the bears will get into them.
Parties/Noise: In order to respect our quiet, family neighborhood, and to adhere to Airbnb rules, we do not allow parties in the house (this includes birthday parties), and we kindly ask that things are kept quiet after 10:00 pm. This is not a neighborhood for parties whatsoever.
Parking: Parking is only permitted in the driveway. Street parking is not allowed by the City of South Lake Tahoe and you can be fined $1,000 for doing so.

Check Out: Checkout is 11:00 am. Late checkout is $100/hour. Please let us know the time you plan to check out so we can pass this information on to the housekeepers. We do a thorough cleaning between guests but we kindly ask that before leaving, place dishes in the dishwasher and start it, and take out the trash. This helps us keep down the cleaning costs for guests. Please leave the home generally as you found it.
Restrooms: Please do not flush anything but toilet paper down the toilet.
Smoking: Our house is a non-smoking home, please only smoke outside. No smoking of cigarettes or weed inside the house or there will be a $300 fine.
Candles: We do not allow candles in the home, this is a fire hazard.
Damage: We understand that accidents happen. We ask that you please let us know when something is broken so that we can replace or repair it. There is stain remover under the sink in the kitchen for the carpet and bedding.
Utilities: Lights/Heating: We kindly ask that you switch off lights and lower the thermostats when leaving the house.
Garbage: Trash cans get picked up out of the bear bin early Wednesday morning. Please make sure all trash is in bags and in the plastic cans. Trash can not be outside of bags or outside of cans in the bear box. Make sure there is room between the cars on the driveway so that the bear box is accessible. Again, never leave any food related trash inside the garage or bears may break into the garage. If you create too much garbage then please take it with you. Do not overfill the trash cans or leave trash in the garage or there will be a $100 charge. South Lake Tahoe does not have a garbage dump so we can not dispose of extra trash.
Pets: Pets are not allowed. This home has a lot of carpet and no yard, so it is not ideal for pets.
Furniture: Please do not rearrange furniture. We have had guests rearrange and damage the furniture. It is also difficult for our housekeeper to put it back where it belongs.
BBQ: Please clean the BBQ after you use it.
Lost Items: Please do not forget anything in the home. We can not package and ship things that are left behind.
Please do not unplug anything in the home. It is difficult for the next guest if lamps are unplugged, and there are items in the home that operate the door lock and doorbell. If you don’t know what it is, do not unplug it. Do not unplug the wireless router or modem or it will shut down the door lock and you may get locked out.
