The house is not suitable for people who have trouble with steep stairs. The land around the house is of the snack bar. Their trolleys are also everywhere. Do not expect luxury (no Wi-Fi, the furniture is simple, peeling paint, garden weeds). The house was built at the end of the 19th century, partially renovated in the 1960s and in 2014. There is a wild garden of 52 square meters with table, chairs, and three bicycles that can be used for free (if previous guests have left them in working order). The house is very simple and perfect for escaping from the busy city for a week away or a summer holiday. Good for a single traveler looking for peace, for a couple, or a small group of friends or little family without luxury expectations. Nature lovers, birdwatchers, beachgoers, and shells seekers are especially welcome! According to those who stayed in the house, the atmosphere is relaxed and unique.
Location:
The house is located on a side street off the main street (Dorpsstraat) and within a four-minute walk from the harbor, two minutes from the supermarket, cafes, and restaurants. It is also very close to the dunes, forest, and the Wadden Sea.
Orientation in the house:
The house is 27 square meters per floor (two floors). The ground floor contains a mini-living room, mini - kitchen and mini bathroom (on your right as you enter the house). The kitchen has pots, plates, and cutlery. A door next to the bathroom contains a small cupboard for the vacuum cleaner and mini-museum of Dutch newspapers from the 30s on the walls. There is also a mini-library present in the corridor. The tools cabinet is the opposite of the staircase, behind the green door.
The second-floor houses three small bedrooms. The third room is still to be renovated (for this reason, a stay is not recommended with more than three people).
No smoking inside. Feel free to use the garden.
Please bring your own bed linen and towels or rent on the island: Duvets (1x2 person, 1x 1 person) and flannel sheets and pillows are present.
The laundry is located in the marina. In the winter months, it is cold – there is no central heating. There is a gas heater in the living room and two electric heaters (in reserve room upstairs) for other areas.
