Welcome to The Pelican, a recently renovated ground-floor bungalow on the ’t Geestmerambacht holiday park in Warmenhuizen.
Designed with a focus on calm, comfort and simplicity, it makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive – a place where togetherness comes naturally and the rhythm of nature sets the pace.
Within ten minutes by bike you reach the picturesque dune village Schoorl, famous for its high dunes, forests and wide beach.
Bergen aan Zee and the historic city of Alkmaar are also nearby.
In spring you can walk straight from the park into the colourful tulip fields, a classic North Holland experience.
Day trips are easy to plan. Within 45 minutes you can reach Amsterdam or the famous Zaanse Schans, where you can experience authentic Dutch windmills, wooden houses and open-air museums.
LayoutThe entrance leads to the open kitchen, styled in neutral tones and fully equipped with a dishwasher, electric hob, combi oven, Nespresso and filter coffee maker (with coffee and tea set), kettle, sandwich toaster and fridge.
The separate dining area offers a bright spot to enjoy breakfast with a view of the dike or to work, draw or talk together in comfort.
The living room is bright and inviting, with French doors opening to the garden.
A sofa, armchair, ottoman and our favourite Reel Egg X hanging chair invite you to relax.
At the heart of the room stands a large glass wood-burning stove, creating warmth, light and a cosy atmosphere on cooler days – the perfect spot to unwind by the fire after a day of exploring.
The bathroom features a bath with shower, washbasin, toilet and designer radiator.
On the side of the house are two bedrooms:
• A large blue bedroom with a queen-size bed (160 × 200) and its own LED TV. A baby cot can be placed here if needed.
• A smaller ochre bedroom, also with a queen-size bed (160 × 200).
All beds are freshly made for your arrival. Our laundry partner values sustainability as much as quality, so a restful night’s sleep under crisp, fresh linen is guaranteed.
A selection of board games is available for rainy days.
The spacious fenced garden faces south-west and enjoys sunlight throughout the day.
