Welcome to your cozy, bohemian hideaway! The entire ground level of the house is yours to unwind & recharge in. Pull into your driveway parking spot, & walk right up to your private entrance. The home is pet and child friendly, so feel free to bring your littles along with you! Your home away from home is nestled among a wealth of fir trees & a short walk from the 80-acre Hamlin Park. Feel free to borrow a book from the eclectic library, or the paddle boards or bikes for a fun day on the lake!

This space is absolutely saturated with charm and warmth. If you are looking for a cozy spot to curl up, or a landing place that situates you smack-dab in the center of all the best sights, then you've come to the right place!
The entire ground floor of a split-level home is yours to enjoy during your stay - one bedroom, one bathroom, a full kitchen, and living room. The bedroom has a comfy queen bed, with an additional queen hide-a-bed couch in the living room, sleeping four comfortably. The washer and dryer are also available for you to use during your stay.
As a courtesy to guests, all soft surfaces are sanitized before arrival in addition to the cleaning services provided.
Reach over the side fence to give a few pets to the owners' sweet Golden Retriever Kina, borrow a book from the large and fabulously eclectic library, or borrow the paddle boards or bikes for a fun day at the lake! Need to unwind? Sink into the plush couch and enjoy a movie (or 2!) with the provided Roku streaming.
This is a split level home, so some soft sound transfer occurs from time to time. The upstairs tenants work hard to respectfully keep noise to a minimum between 10pm & 10am, and I kindly ask the same of all my guests. I am aiming to foster both a peaceful retreat and a stepping stone to adventure! This is a smoke-free household (including vaping), but very pet and family friendly. The owners keep the home central temperature moderate, and provide a space heater and fan so you can make the temperature ideal for yourself.
Recommendations from the property owners: Lake Forest Park is a lovely neighborhood with lots of well preserved, towering fir and pine trees. The home is 3 minutes from North City's charming restaurants, cafes, breweries, and stores, plus the amazing independent Crest Movie Theatre. The fabulous Lake Washington, Third Place Books, and Burke-Gilman trail are just 5 minutes east, downtown, Edmonds, St. Edwards, and the ferries to Whidbey Island all just 15 minute jaunts, and 80-acre Hamlin Park a mere walk down the street. Just 15 minutes from downtown, or the UW light rail station, we're in a great location for day trips to the many spectacular Northwest attractions, and offer easy access to and from I-5.
Guest Access:
The complimentary guest parking spot is the right side driveway space, with additional street parking. You will have private access through key code entry on the ground level of this mid-20th century home. The door is at the back of the property - just follow the little path to the right!
Misc:
This is a split-level home, the upstairs residents work hard to keep their noise to a minimum, and I respectfully ask that any guests that stay here to keep noise to a reasonable level as well.
There are 2 doors in the space that remain locked at all times that connect to the upper level of the house.
In the unlikely event of the circuit breaker tripping, the owner would reach out to you for brief access to the kitchen area where the house breaker box is located.
Late checkouts can usually be arranged ahead of time and for an additional fee (up to $100 depending on the amount of additional time) - please reach out if you are interested in a late check out and I'll do everything I can to accommodate you!
Please note: the property owner may reach out to you to coordinate a convenient time for them to use the washer and dryer as they are the only ones in the home.
The owner usually has a weekly salsa class upstairs, Thursdays approximately 6:30pm – 9:00pm, and sometimes Sundays approximately 10:30am – 1:30pm. Please be aware: you may hear the music, and some creaking through the floors at those times. It is not excessively loud, but you will hear sound. No refunds will be given if the noise bothers you - please plan accordingly for your stay!
- If you have some previous dance experience and are interested in joining a class, that can be coordinated during your stay!
If you are traveling with dogs:
We have had a few instances with guests whose dogs become unexpectedly anxious when being left alone in a new space for long periods of time, and leads to excessive barking. My goal is to make everyone's experience as enjoyable as possible. In light of this, if I do receive noise complaints of long periods of barking, I will require you to take your dog with you if you leave for extended periods, coordinate outside doggy day care, or use a humane bark-deterring collar if that is preferable. I appreciate your understanding!
